Popular TV actor Pearl V Puri's father Vipin Puri passed away three days back after suffering heart attack. The Naagin 3 star is currently in his hometown Agra to perform last rites. Talking about it, a source told E Times, 'Pearl's father was hale and hearty. However, three days ago, he developed pneumonia as well as suffered a silent heart attack, and succumbed to it. The Puri family is in a state of shock as everything has been sudden. Pearl, who was shooting for his show, 'Brahmarakshas 2', had to rush back to his hometown overnight. He performed the chautha for his father yesterday.' Pearl came back to Mumbai last month after spending quality time with his family. In fact, he also celebrated his parents' anniversary on August 8. Talking about his upcoming show, Brahmarakshas 2, it marks the third collaboration between Pearl V Puri and producer Ekta Kapoor after Naagin 3 and Bepanah Pyaar. Interestingly, it is also his show in the supernatural genre after Naagin 3 and Nagarjun: Ek Yoddha. While the reports suggest the Chetan Hansraj has bagged a prominent role in the second season, there is no official announcement on it. When asked earlier to Pearl V Puri, who garnered fame with Naagin 3, what made her say 'Yes' to this Ekta Kapoor's show, he told Mumbai Mirror, 'Our responsibility is to cater to the needs of the audience, so we have to make shows that they enjoy. I try to do something different each time so that people say this is not Pearl.' The actor expressed his eagerness of coming back to sets after lockdown and said, 'The lockdown was a different experience. I got to eat home-cooked food and even went on some road trips. Now, rejuvenated, I can't wait to get back. There is fear but we have to start living with it as corona is not going away anytime soon.' The story of Naagin 3 revolves around Naagrani Bela and her fight to protect the Naagmani from her evil enemy, Sumitra.
